← Honest Texas Electricity · Oncor

NEC Co-op Energy — Residential Electricity... Plain and simple.

Rejected We left this plan off our honest list. Here's exactly why.

VARIABLE RATE

Variable rate — the price can change month to month with no cap.

BASE CHARGE

Charges a flat monthly base fee on top of the rate — it quietly raises your real cost, and hits low-usage months hardest.

What it actually costs at different usage

Average price per kWh at three usage levels. An honest fixed plan is nearly flat. This one bends — the advertised rate only shows up in a narrow usage window.

What we'd pick instead

In Oncor, the honest cheapest plan at a typical 1,000 kWh is GEXA ENERGY — Gexa Eco Choice 3 (about $98/mo). Check it for your usage →

Don't take our word for it — read this plan's official EFL.
